SOAR PATHFINDERS

THE PATHFINDER PEER EDUCATOR PROGRAM PROMOTES HOLISTIC WELLNESS THROUGH PEER-TO-PEER CONSULTATIONS AVAILABLE TO ALL UCI STUDENTS

OUR MISSION

Your Title Goes Here

The Pathfinder Program focuses on addressing our five retention areas through large signature programs (Puppies and Pathfinders), workshops (i.e, financial wellness, resume building, interview methods, etc.), peer-to-peer mentor consultations (Gateway Scholars), social events (Gateway Scholars), and grants (SOAR Book grant). The Pathfinder program is designed to increase the retention rates of underserved communities and underserved populations.

Each Pathfinder is trained in basic knowledge that all students should know when they attend UCI—things like: how many units are needed to graduate, how to sign up for classes, and how to budget their time. Pathfinders are the experts on being a UCI student, and they’re here to help other students become successful in their careers as student by filling them in on the gaps that they may need additional support in.
