The SOAR Center serves as an information hub and a bridge between students and the resources that contribute to their academic, personal, and social development and success. In addition, undergraduate student organizations receive advise and support to plan and implement their academic outreach and yield initiatves for first-generation, low-income and ethnic minority high school students.
The SOAR Center is equipped with computers and an information station, a lounge, and a multipurpose room. The lounge and the multipurpose room primarily function as a study space Monday-Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm. The multipurpose room is available for student outreach organizations to reserve Monday-Thursday from 5:00pm and 9:00pm. Reservations are available on a first come first serve basis. Student signers for each organization must fill out a room reservation request form at the front desk and a confirmation will be sent over e-mail.
