The Student Initiated Academic Preparation (SIAP) Program is for Registered Campus Organizations (RCOs) that are interested in conducting long term community service projects to inspire, motivate, and guide non-college track students to pursue higher education. The SIAP Program is a one-year commitment. Student leaders from each respective RCO are required to participate in a 1.3 unit quarterly seminar to gain:
Knowledge (e.g. college preparation, student mentorship, educational policies, and issues)
And Skills (e.g. program coordination, grant writing, professional development, and cultural competency) to plan, organize, and execute their outreach projects. As part of the SIAP Program, student leaders will be eligible to apply for SIAP grants if they meet the following funding guidelines.
