Food insecurity is a household-level economic and social condition of limited or uncertain access to adequate food. Hunger is an individual-level physiological condition that may result from food insecurity.
1 out of 9 people experience food insecurity worldwide, 1 out of 6 in the USA, 1 out of 5 in Orange County and 1 out of 4 at UCI…
It’s time we share our stories to amplify the reality of the issue aside from a textbook definition. If you are reading this and are reminded of a time when you or someone you know experienced food insecurity, please let others hear about it here.
